Tam-Tikka Chicken Stew

Speaking of a healthy meal with no additives and totally nourishing!

Ingredients

  • 500G Chicken with bones, curry cut pieces

  • 2 Medium sized onions, Chopped

  • 2 Green chilies

  • 1 Red chili

  • 2 Medium sized tomatoes, chopped

  • 2 Medium diced potatoes

  • 2 Teaspoons of ginger garlic

  • 200ml Coconut milk

  • ¾ Teaspoon salt

  • ½ Teaspoon crushed pepper

Method

  • Place your chicken in a bowl.

  • Add to it salt and crushed pepper then mix very well and set it aside for about 30 minutes allowing it to marinate.

  • Heat about 3 tablespoons of oil, add the onions and fry them for about 3 minutes on medium heat till translucent.

  • Add your green and red chilies and continue frying for a minute then add your ginger garlic paste and allow to fry for 2 minutes on medium heat.

  • At this point, pour in your chicken, stir well and fry for about 5 minutes on medium heat till the chicken is evenly brown.

  • Pour in your diced potatoes, chopped tomatoes and stir to mix well.

  • Add about ¼ teaspoon salt to taste then continue stirring to even it out.

  • Cover and allow it to cook for about 3 minutes on low heat.

  • Now pour in your coconut milk, mix well and bring to boil, then cover and allow to cook for about 20 minutes on low heat.

  • Add about ¼ teaspoon of pepper and squeeze your lemon for the lemon juice then add your chopped coriander about 2 tablespoons, mix and let it simmer for about 1-2 minutes on low heat.

  • Your meal is now ready to serve.
